The acidity is soft, structured, and round, working harmoniously with a creamy mouthfeel that enhances this coffee's indulgent character.
The stunning, soaring peaks of Northern Peru seem to go on endlessly into the high Andean cordillera. Blessed with ideal growing conditions, lush green slopes covered with shade grown coffee rise at almost impossible angles from the city of Jaen in Cajamarca. These ideal growing conditions, paired with the high quality of traditional coffee cultivars, has established the region as a beacon for extraordinary coffee production.
To the north of Jaen lies the San Ignacio province, an area that has played a pivotal role in establishing Peru's specialty coffee industry, and it’s here that David Nuñez finally bought a farm after years working as a coffee picker.
David's journey began as a coffee picker, travelling from farm to farm, following the seasonal harvest in Peru. Driven by a dream to own his own farm, he saved over many years until he finally bought a plot of land in the heart of San Ignacio. The remarkable transition from a migratory picker to a dedicated farmer showcases his unwavering focus and resolute determination.
Now, David channels this same passion into his coffee farming. We're delighted to share this delicious natural process coffee—an exclusive small-lot that captures David's unwavering dedication and the vibrant flavours of Peruvian coffee. This natural process coffee is the result of improvements in David's drying infrastructure and with a farm so small this is a rare, UK exclusive coffee to try.
